We opened our doors for business on the first business day of the new millennium, January 2, 2001. Our owners Mike McCord and Paul Callicoat have over 50 years in the music retail business. Our retail store is a destination guitar shop that offers both beginning and professional musicians top quality instruments at competitive prices coupled with a high level of customer service. We're long time musicians and feel qualified to offer advice, instruction and personal service to our customers and will gladly try to help any musician realize their goals in creating or playing music. We started our music lesson program at Route 60 Music Company in September 2001, approximately 9 months after we opened for business and it has grown from having 20 students and one guitar teacher to over 350 students for guitar, bass, keyboard, banjo, mandolin, fiddle and drums. We have full time instructors on staff, ready to teach you almost any style of music. If you want to learn rock, country, blues, jazz or classical, we will provide you with the tools and techniques to help you on your way.We have quality teachers that are patient, talented, and take pride in the fact that they are given the ability to share their knowledge of music with the local community.
